Conexión, visibilidad y trazabilidad: Connection Mitutoyo Day

Techmaster de México and Mitutoyo successfully carry out ”Connection Mitutoyo Day”

After we had to interrupt live events due to the COVID-19 health contingency and its variants, we were able to return full of energy and knowledge to share, together with our friends and business partners from Mitutoyo Mexicana.

Last Thursday, October 13, the ”Connection Mitutoyo Day” was held at the Techmaster de México Tijuana branch, an event where attendees were able to see first-hand all the technology in metrology that Mitutoyo has for systematization of production processes in companies with the aim of turning them into Smart Factory, with three main aspects: connection, visualization and traceability.

Among those attending this talk, we have the presence of collaborators from companies such as Prime Wheel Mexico, Belden and Tegrant de Mexico, to name a few.

At the event we had a conference entitled ”Connection Mitutoyo”, given by Engineer Jesús Cervantes, in charge of the northwest region and a Mitutoyo specialist, who spoke to us about the advantages of software in terms of digitization, visibility and online measurement of production.”What we propose through Smart Factory is to have centralized data management: the area of design, manufacturing and quality in a single standardized process,” added Jesús Cervantes.

In addition, the engineer told us about the solutions that Mitutoyo offers for Smart Factory specifically in quality control issues, such as production equipment, measurement systems and inspection equipment for laboratories and production lines.

On the other hand, Engineer Daniela Navarro, specialist in MeasurLink, offered us a live demonstration of this software and showed us how it can help us in manufacturing and quality control processes.

Regarding MeasurLink, Daniela shared with us that this software helps us store the measurement results with confidence and security and thus have reliability in the audits.

”This software also allows us to reduce scrap, such as claims from end customers because we will be able to make timely decisions when taking measurements,” added the engineer. Finally, the service engineer in Baja California, René Cisneros, showed us the MiCAT Planner software and how it can simplify the measurement processes in CMM through the development of automatic and customizable programs.

‘’With MiCAT Planner we can estimate how much time we can save on programming when we have a very varied number of parts to measure. It is a very useful tool in that situation”, commented engineer René.

Also this software allows us to specify different measurements and geometric tolerances.

The event concluded with a visit to our showroom within the facilities, where Techmaster de México employees explained to the attendees some of the Mitutoyo equipment, its characteristics and functions. This was something that was experienced in the Connection Mitutoyo Day.

The Techmaster team in Mexico thanks you for your visit to this edition and we hope to see you in the next one.
